Popsicle Paradise - A Little of This and A Little of That

I completed a simple layout using lots of the elements from the Popsicle Paradise sets. I love the bright colorful papers and elements that everyone created. It took this very plain article about my son's summer job and made it fun and bright. Hopefully I'm giving proper credit for each piece I used. Make sure you go down to the June 2nd entry for the first link in the hunt for this great collection if you haven't already picked it up. The background paper is from Chantel Miller. The alpha used to create the title is from Allie Kat. The sun behind the title is from Angie's Asylum. The cute kids in the bottom corner are from By God's Design. The great arrow pointing out my son is from Aby Scraps. The journaling box is from Creative Dreams. The font is Informal011BT. So you get an idea about how wonderful this whole set is and how everything can really coordinate and mix and match with each other's sets.

DigiTreat Run

I have done several layouts in Jump and Skip but I hadn't really played much with the Run set. The font on this layout is Fire Starter which I thought would work well with the theme of the page. The name label, papers, chipboard frame, and tab frame are all DigiTreat. The journal mat is from Brittney Ferguson's Run add-on. The 4 interlocked frames are from A Work in Progress. The cones and caution tape are extractions from pictures that Hayden took himself.

Hayden really worked hard all summer getting the whole progression of the this downtown tragedy. He even created his own album at the end of the summer.

CT Work for Crazy Designs by Diamond

I had the opportunity to try out another one of Crazy Design's kits. This one is called Summer Time. It has a lot of cool elements and I love the green and blue in the papers. I used it here on another page for our school album. I used Bazooka for the Font. I loved the little mushrooms. I think they are so cute. The element in the upper corner is actually 3 elements. The leaves and each of the flowers.

Another CT Layout for Lisa Minor

I've completed another layout for Designs by Lisa Minor's new kit available next week on her blog or later in her store Scrap Debris. I just love the colors of this kit and have found it to be versatile. The font is Constantia. I beveled it on the little title block in the top corner.

Creative work for Crazy Designs by Diamond

I have also created some layouts for a new designer. Her blog is posted over in my links as Crazy Designs by Diamond. You can check out her blog to pick up the kits.

The first layout is from the homeschool convention a couple of years ago. I used the Kit Island Breeze. The font is Cezanne because I thought it had a breezy tropical feel. I used Trish H Designs Template #100 as the starting point of the layout.

The second is from our Camp Fire Graduation a few years ago. I used no template with this layout. I used the kit Summer Camp which has a lot of great camping elements that I didn't use for this layout since weren't actually camping. The metallic frame was done using one of the papers from the kit and then the metallic bevel action in PSE 5. All the other frames are elements from this fun kit. The font is Signpost.

My first CT Layouts

I completed a 2 page layout today for Lisa Manor's new Miss Lady Bug kit. My layouts didn't use a lot of the great elements that will be a part of this kit but the paper colors are wonderful and so versatile. It was a great kit to work with and I hope to get a few more done before the end of the week. She will be posting this in pieces are her blog (see link to the side) starting next week. And the neat thing is if you miss them as freebies each part will be for sale at Scrap Debris for $1 a piece. I'm posting one of Lisa's great previews as well as my two pages. The font is Tristan. I had fun making some multiphoto sets for the different frames.

The pictures are from the wonderful field trip we took to Pizza Hut. Each of the children were able to create their own pizza and watch it come through the oven. If you didn't know all pizza's take 8 minutes to go through the oven no matter what size they are. Everyone had a great time.

Lots Going On

I've been chosen to part of OScrapMoMo also known as Lisa Minor to work on her Creative Team. I've already used a lot of her great kits in the past and now I get to work on them before they come out I'm so excited. I just got the new kit and wow. Watch in the next couple of days for some great layouts. I've also been reading posts in the Yahoo Group adsdesigners. I'm learning and lot and maybe someday I'll be brave enough to try some of my own designing. I'm going to work with one of the designers kits as well and do some layouts and feed back. So I have a lot of stuff to work on. And then to top it all off the great adsdesigner members created a great collaboration kit called Popsicle Paradise that looks like it will be loads of fun to work with. Here is one link to get you started on finding this great kit. DigiScrapalicious You can also find out more about the Designers Yahoo group as well.
GOAL UPDATE: Can't remember if updated my goals but 2004 School album is done and 2005 is about 1/2 finished. I think I must of been camera happy in 2005. I have twice as many pictures for this year than any other if you take out vacation pictures. Also I think I maybe able to talk Hannah into letting me do her 2008 album in digital form as well so that might speed things up. That would just leave Jacob's albums to be done in paper which will be a great way to use up my supplies as I still have plenty of stuff to do for him. Not sure how many individual albums it will turn out to be but he has pictures from a month in South Africa, a month in China, some general school pictures, his road trip to Luther, his Great BBQ search trip, and his most recent trip to South Dakota. Mainly I have a bunch of pictures with out correct dates and locations waiting for him to send pack proof sheets with the appropriate notes that are on my computer just waiting to be printed. And then he has more on his computer that he needs to get to me. My goal is to buy no new paper until I use up what I have.
