Aussie Caz Design - Cookin' Up A Storm

Cookin' Up A Storm is such a cute kit and great for all kind of food layouts.  It would work for layouts featuring going out to eat, cooking in the kitchen, or making up recipe layouts.  You can pick up Cookin' Up A Storm at DigiScrap Station. 

I created a two page layout Good Food that features pictures of the food and restaurants where we ate during our trip to Colonial Williamsburg in 2006.  I used a Yin Design template.  The font is Matura MT Script Capitals. 

Lisa Minor - September Blush

What a great way to start out the month of September with a great new kit from Lisa Minor. I love the earthy tones with a splash of bright color. It makes it great of any kind of fall activities. You can pick up September's Blush HERE at Scrapdebris and And the best part its available for only $1.

I used this great kit to create a two page layout from a family reunion we attended in 2006. It was wonderful to see cousins I hadn't seen in years. The kids had a great time with the toys and the hayride. I used a template from Andrea Gold and the fonts Cooper Black and Corbel to complete this layout. All the paper squares you see are taken from this kit.

Day's Digi Design - Spring is in the Air

This is a really cute kit with lots of fun spring colors and lots of great spring elements. It has a great mix of buttons, flowers, and word art.


I created not one but 2 double page layouts on our trip to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Museum.

The first layout features some of the great exhibits to be found at the park. Our favorite was the new exhibit on Fresnel Lens. It was wonderful to walk in and see all these great lens. I used an Yin Template and the font Centaur.

The second layout features actually going up into the lighthouse itself. We all tried but only Dan and Caleb actually made it to the top. I used another Yin Template and the font Bauhaus.

Digital Gator - My World

This was a great kit to work with. I loved the bright colors and the fun papers. It has lots of great elements like clouds, sun, and kites that would make it great for outdoor fun or travel.

I completed a two page layout of our trip to St. Petersburg for testing. We had extra special fun this year because we got to spend a few hours at Freedom Lake Park. Caleb especially enjoyed the Korean War display since his granddaddy served in Korea and they share the same middle name.

I used one of Yin Desgin's great double page templates which I love. And now that I have a action to cut them with I love them even more because they are so easy to use. The fonts are Arial and Popular Std.

Designer Duos - Monday's Child

Teri Mayo and Stacey Crossley have teamed up again for another great kit. Monday's Child has wonderful colors and fun elements. I created one layout with this kit.

MOH Retreat features my trip to Katy, Texas to meet with the publisher and the author of Mystery of History curriculum. In addition to the great workshops there was also time to scrap as well. Jacob bought my airline ticket and I finished up the album I was doing for him from his high school years. The tiemplate is Andrea Gold. The font is Times New Roman.

CT for Lisa Minor - Bloop Bleep

I had a chance to work with this new kit from Lisa Minor at Scrapdebris. This is a wonderful kit with lots of fun colors and elements. And the kit is available for only $2 for the complete kit.

I did a two page layout with people highlights from our 2004 vacation to get out of Florida during the 2004 hurricane season. I already complete a full trip album so this gave me a chance to highlight some of the people shots for the family album. I used this great kit, a template from Yin Design, and the font Onyx.

CT for GF Designz - Photos of Yesteryear

This was a fun kit to work with. It will work well for heritage photos or photos from visits to historic places which is how I used it. It has lots of fun elements to choose from. You can see a few of them here in my layout.

I have a two page layout from a trip to St. Augustine. Jacob surprised with a trip there while he was home. We had a great day and even found a new place to check out. I used a Becky Higgins sketch for inspiration and the font is Book Antigua.

I also plan to enter this layout over at DigiScrap Station in their frame-less challenge.

Well after posting things on several galleries for the past several months I've finally had a layout that has more than 2 comments. This layout was from my trip to the Twin Cities. Its about our breakfast at the famous Al's Breakfast Diner. I had seen the diner on Diners, Dives, and Drive-Ins on the Food Network and was excited to eat there for real.
The kit is from Go Digital's Helen Ehrenhofer's Mom's Diner plus some of the add-ons. The font is Lucida Handwriting.

Half Way to my Goal

I'm so excited. If you check out my ticker I've passed the half way mark of my layout goal. Of course we are 3/4 of the way through the year so I'm pretty sure I won't make my full goal but I'm going to make my best effort. So which layout made layout #404. Well its is this one from my trip to the Twin Cities. This is a layout I did about attending church with my son. His church was featured on the national church magazine so I included that cover in the layout. This great kit is currently a Freebie over at Lisa Minor's blog. If you miss it look for it in her store for $1-2. The kit is Promise and was just perfect for this layout The font is Long Island.

The other great news is that other than a cover and title page my Twin Cities trip album is complete.

CT Layouts for Crazy Diamond - Castaway

I worked with Crazy Diamond's Castaway kit yesterday. This kit as the name implies has a quiet beach theme to it BUT as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to use it for the pictures I had of historic Fort Snelling in the Twin Cities. And yes I know its two separate cities but I have trouble remembering which side we were on at some of the sites. I thought the deck like paper really looked a lot like the exposed beams in the fort. Also the colors seemed to work really well with the colors of this kit.

Page 1 is the introduction to the fort and includes one photo turned to an overlay to be the title of the page. The font on this page is Terminal.

Page 2 is Battery area. It uses the font. New Zurica

Page 3 is Other areas of the fort. The fonts are Sherwood and Tubular.

Page 4 is some of the great scenery seen in and around the fort. The font is Tubular.

CT Layouts for Girlfriend Designz

I had a chance this weekend to use another one of Girlfriend Designz's kits. This one is called Mama's Apple Pie. It had some really cute little elements in the kit. This time I actually created two Brag Book pages which are available from the Scrap Sisters Blog. Get me the Brag Book.


The two layouts I created were from my trip to visit my oldest in the Twin Cities. They were great for these layouts that included two of the places that he took me to eat at.

The first layout is from the Mall of America. Everyone makes such a big deal about this mall but frankly to me it was just a mall only bigger. The font is Cuckoo.


The second layout is from the Cap's restaurant. My son had been complaining that he just couldn't find good southern style cooking "up north". Which we were out sight seeing we the sign on the restaurant caught our attention so we decided to give it a try. The food was absolutely wonderful and definitely had a down home feel to it. In this case the advertising lived up to the hype. The font on this layout is Pythagoras.

CT Layout for My Scrap Shop

This month for My Scrap Shop I'm working with Utski = Alice Garden. I did one l one earlier in the month to introduce myself as a CT Member. This second layout is from the album I'm working on of my trip to visit my oldest in the Twin Cities area. As a girl from semi-rural Central Florida I was very impressed with the great public transportation there. And believe with the current price of gas I wish we had something similar. So here is my page in celebration of big city mass transit. The font is Condora.
