Fall Daze Layout with Heavenly Scraps

Come to FALL DAZE at DigiScrapStation.com to join in games, challenges, sales and more for the month of October! We have a special Build-A-Kit Collab our designers created where every "kit" is only $1. Check out our Forum for more information.
My layouts was created from Heavenly Scraps elements and paper. You can check out Heavenly Scraps contribution to this great colloboration as well as others by clicking Fall Daze Build a Kit which will take you to the DigiScrap Station store. All of the elements can work together in one giant kit or you can use just one or two of the kits.

My first layout is my daughter and I enjoying a day at the park together. I used a template by Andrea Gold and the font Lucida Calligraphy.

The second layout is from a field trip to the farm. Since I already made a detailed layout for the school album and will complete a layout for each of the kids I choose to highlight some of my favorite shots of the kids for the family album. I used another Andrea Gold template and the font Bernard MT Condensed.

Sweet n Spicy Scraps

This is such a great kit. I loved all the great kitchen and cooking elements. The colors are rich and warm. This kit would be great for catching those great cooking moments or for recipes.

I created 2 layouts with this kit. The first one features my two youngest helping their dad bake bread. They have so much fun when they get to make their own little loafs. I used a layout from the Cherish book p 84. Font - Berlin Sans FB Demi.

The second layout features Hannah trying to get me to let her help me make dinner. She always loves to get right in there and lend a hand. The font is Cafe Rojo.

You can pick up the Sweet n Spicy Scrap Colloboration kit HERE at their store. And for a limited time you can get it for free with a $5 purchase.

YIKES WE BROKE THE SITE

Looks like DigiScrap Station maybe experience some problems due to all of us working so hard. If the links below don't work for you them please take the time to stop back and try them again later.

Having Fun at DSS with all kinds of challenges.

There are kinds of fun games and challenges over at DigiScrap Station.

One of the most challenging for me so far was to create your own blinkie. I googled and found some basic directions and created the very simple one you see over on the left size. Its celebrating be the mom of a son soon heading out for the mission field. I used Psi Psi -Africa kit for the paper and little art work. You can find it HERE.

I created a blog entry see below.

One fun challenge was to create a layout about where you live. I created this Florida layout showing off how Florida can be full of contrasts. I used Shades of Gina's - Beach Fun Kit available HERE. I created the title with Just Two More Things text path. The font is Times New Roman.

I reviewed kits that I've used or have on my wish list.

I participated in the color challenge where you had to create a layout with certain colors. I created a layout of a field trip to Pizza Hut. I used DigiTreats Jump, a Lindsey Jane template, and the font Popular Std.

There's a contest to guess how many papers in a stack.

I've completed the Multiple Pieces layout. You had to have 35 pieces plus photos. I got buy with making a border with the buttons found in Belenna's Celtric Crafts. Travel HERE to pick up the kit. The layout features a puzzle my son put together and I thought this kit fit it well. I used the font Old English.

I completed the technique challenge which was to create a layout using extraction. I created this fun layout with two random pictures of Hannah. I really like how it turned out. I used Throwing Some Scraps Around's This One Day that you can buy HERE.

Another interesting challenge was the Journal It Challenge. At least half the page must be journaling. I created this layout in memory of my son's great uncle and Godfather who passed away in 2005. I used GF Designz's Photos of Yesteryear a great kit for hertiage photos. You can pick it up HERE.

One really fun challenge is to the on going story where already we've created one crazy tale. Add your twist to the story.

One easy game is to share about your favorite birthday memory of either yourself or others.

You can vote in a poll about digital scrap booking and weigh in with your opinion.

I also created a birthday card to wish DSS a Happy Birthday. I used Psi Psi's Its Spring which can be found HERE.

And believe or not that's not all the challenges and fun there is. That's just what I've worked on so far. You can find out more about all the fun and games HERE. And before you go shopping for all the great kits featured in my layouts stop HERE for Birthday Bash Specials.

WOW I've been nominated

My Scrap Shop is in there 2nd week of the Layout of the Week contest and one of my layouts has been nominated. I'm so excited. If you would like to visit the gallery and leave a comment you can do so by clicking HERE. You can find out more about the layout in the post about EAL Fall's Glory layout posted earlier this month. I've included a small version of it here.

Tons of Fun at My Scrap Shop

My Scrap Shop is hosting a bunch of challenges right now that will run until the 31st of the month. The first four challenges can earn you one of the 4 parts of Timeless Romance by Pillowgirl. It is featured in one of my layouts below. And for those who get really busy they are planning on adding even more giveaways this month. You can find the challenges on My Scrap Shop's Forum section HERE.

This evening I completed five of the challenges. This means I am now on tracking for my yearly and weekly layout goals.

Layout 1 - Basket Baby - This was for the Impromptu Challenge, Inspirational Ad. I used Sir Scrapalot's Funky Monkey. I used the ad given as a sort of a sketch to complete the layout. The font is Arial Black.

Layout 2 - Love Letter - This was for the Impromptu Challenge - Hugs since January 21st is International Hug Day. This is one of those layouts that took on a life of its own. I started to journal something simple and that is not what came out. But as I dried my tears I decided to go for broke and leave it all there. I used Pillowgirl's Timless Romance set which is a mega kit made up of four mini kits. You can 1 mini kit for every challenge you complete. I used an Andrea Gold Template and Sherwood font.

Layout 3 - Summer Foreshadow - This one was for the Impromptu Challenge - Font. It was the pictures we took after a particularly heavy summer storm. It was bad that we decided to take pictures. Little did we know that by the time the summer was over we would be hit with several more severe summer storms plus 3 major hurricanes. The kit is EAL's Fall's Glory. The font is Howdown. And I used an Andrea Gold Template.

Layout 4 - Caleb's Snake - This one is actually from this year. This one was submitted in the Template Challenge. I moved the circles over a bit because I know that when printed in a photobook the pictures would be lost in the crack. I took the journal area and replaced it with a reshaped journal mat from kit. The kit is Pillowgirl Hootie. The font is Impact.

Layout 5 - Daddy's Home - This is another Impromptu Challenge. This one is Poetry. I used a poem written by my mother when I was little. I used photos from that era to highlight the poem. The kit is Ladybug's Recipe of Love. The font is Lucida Handwriting.

CT Layout for Mega-Doodle Fleeting Hearts

I had so much fun being part of the team to test out this great new kit. And to make it even more exciting it is now available in Mega-Doodle's brand new store. I created two layouts with this kit. I loved the paper and elements and the neat thing is there a bunch more that I didn't use.

1st layout is St. Pete Day - We had gone over for our testing a day early so we could do some sight seeing. The title is done with the alpha set that comes in the kit. I used one of the buttons from the kit to make the dot. I used a Simply Yin template. Even the great little journaling strips are part of this great kit. And I think that little dragonfly is so cute. The font is Old Bookman Style.

The 2nd layout is Growing Fast. It features a couple of silly pictures of my daughter showing how much she's growing up. I thought the decorative pin was a really neat element. The frame, flowers, and journal box are also all from the kit. I used an Andrea Gold template and the font is CK Marker.

This great kit Mega-Doodle's Fleeting Hearts can be found HERE.

Look at My Wonderful, Wonderful New Design

Thanks so much to Hippo Scraps Design. She is having a great give away over on her blog. Click here for a quick trip to Hippo Scraps. Or if you look at the bottom on the left side you can click on her design blinkie. She used my blinkie to create this great blog look. I have been having a really tough time lately with everything that is going on. The last few weeks have been a real struggle so to be given this great new look was a real boost. I was so excited when I found out I had won one of the gifts I started scrapping again with new energy. I completed 8 layouts last night and once I finish checking emails and doing lesson plans I hope to get even more done today.

For those of you that come by for the freebies I have a kit I started and need to finish but right now I really need to focus on getting some layouts done. The next week will be really crazy as I have a board meeting on Monday, a doctor's appointment and evening meeting on Tuesday, my daughter has her Camp Fire class on Wednesday as well as Kid's Choir and my work in the church nursery. Then I will be on a Women's retreat Thursday - Sunday. So what ever I hope to get done will have to get done in the next two day.

Again a great big thanks to Hippo Scraps you made my day. Make sure you check out her site because even her paid services are very reasonable and the results are priceless. Just check on the blinkie on the bottom left side.
