Mandy King - All Merry Collection

I had the chance to work with another great product from Mandy King. This is a great collection with lots of different elements to choose from. I had fun playing with most of the collection parts. You can pick up the All Merry Collection HERE at Scrapbook Elements. And if you don't want the whole collection you can pick up just the parts you needed.

To get the most out of this collection I created two different layouts. The first layout is Flywheeler Santa. There is always a great Santa every year and the kids love getting their picture with him. We get to go again this weekend. I used the fonts aka Fravolity and Cooper Black.

The second layout is Lake Aurora. I used the font Forte for this layout.

Scrappy Cats - Christmas Plaid

This is a great Christmas kit. It has all the great traditional and non-traditional Christmas colors. It also has some really great plaid papers and the giant bows are really pretty. You can pick up Christmas Plaid HERE at DigiScrap Station.

I completed two layouts with this great kit. The first layout is Flywheeler Christmas 2006. It is a layout from our annual Christmas trip to Flywheelers. The template is from Andrea Gold. The font is Brush Script MT.

The second layout is Christmas Learning it is also from 2006. Josh and Hannah are showing off the lapbooks they made learning about Christmas. The title and matting are from paper in the kit. The fonts are Corpulent Caps and Courier New.

I created a two page layout Good Food that features pictures of the food and restaurants where we ate during our trip to Colonial Williamsburg in 2006. I used a Yin Design template. The font is Matura MT Script Capitals.

This is a fun kit and great for all kinds of school layouts. I used the School Daze Base Kit and the Smart Cookie Add-On that was perfect for a graduation layout. I completed a two page layout of Jacob's college graduation from Warner Southern in 2006. I used a Yin Design double page template to complete the layout. I used Creative Chaos's School Hand Bold for my font.

I did one layout using the Freebie from the other day Autumn Rust.

The layout I created was for Hayden from a field trip back in 2005. The template I used was Ella FIPT Template D. The font is Rockwell Condensed.

The template I used was a great new template I purchased from My Scrap Shop. It is another great addition to the File It! series. You need to check out all the different template sets but I really like how this one looks. This template is from the File It! Plastic Pockets set which you can purchase HERE.

I created two layouts with this great kit. The first layout is Watch Out. The picture was taken in 2005 it was supposed to be a close up of Joshua but as I was getting ready to scrap it I noticed a sneaky little girl in the background. I used a template by Andrea Gold. The font is Connect the Dots.

The second layout I created is Biking Buddies. These pictures were taken in 2007. My son and his friend Nathan love to spend time together riding bikes and having fun. I used one of Yin Designs single page templates for this layout. I used Colonna MT as the font.

I just finished up three layouts with Happy Holidays. All three layouts feature the same pictures of my three boys at Christmas. One layout for each of their albums. Throwing Some Scraps Around - Cherish

Even though its not February I still found some great used for Cherish by TSSA. The colors are rich and the combination of pinks, blues, and browns was a lot of fun to work with. I used this kit to complete 2 different challenges. This first layout I Love Rainbows is my entry in the Fall Madness contest at Scrap Addict. I used the font Ravie. The challenge was to complete a layout using only one designer and had the theme I Love. I'll let you know later if I made it to round two.

I've been a follower of Vicki of A Work in Progress Designs for quite a while. She now has her own store Scrap That Idea. As part of the store she remade her old freebie kit Blue Jeans with a revamped Funky Blue Jeans. To promote the new kit she had a challenge. Take a layout you made with the original Blue Jeans kit and remake it with the new Funky Blue Jeans kit. So I decided to take the challenge. There were only 4 entries but I won. I'm so excited.

My first layout was completed about a year ago. It was for our school album. No template was used. The fonts were Calibri and Tubular.

The remake is for the family album. I used fewer photos in the remake. I used the new Funky Blue Jeans kit. A template by Dani Alencar. The font is Adorable.

My first layout is my daughter and I enjoying a day at the park together. I used a template by Andrea Gold and the font Lucida Calligraphy.

Since I already made a detailed layout for the school album and will complete a layout for each of the kids I choose to highlight some of my favorite shots of the kids for the family album. I used another Andrea Gold template and the font Bernard MT Condensed.

Worked with this great kit today. It is full of wonderful bold primary colors plus lots of fun school time elements. I loved the chalkboard and chalk elements the best. They are wonderful for journaling.

Ella Design - File It (2)

I got to use some of these great new templates from Ella Design. They are really fun and have a great look to them. She has a whole set of different templates packages to choose from. I used one from the File-It (2) which you can purchase HERE at My Scrap Shop.

The layout I completed is Invites and features the family assembly line created to get Jacob's college graduation invitations out. I did make one modification to the template by adding in the 2nd photos tucked in on the edge. I used Digital Gator's Spring Love kit which can also be found at My Scrap Shop and is featured in an earlier entry. The font is School Hand Bold from Creative Chaos.

Heavenly Scraps - Hippity Hop

I had a very busy scrapping weekend and accomplished a lot. Since I'm working on some older photos I got to work with an great Easter kit. Hippity Hop was great for the 2 page Easter layout I completed but the colors and elements also made it great for a fun little layout that was not related to Easter at all. The first set of layouts with was a 2 page Easter layout. The left side shows us having a simple Easter morning at home
and the right side shows us off in our Easter finery. The template is from Yin Design. The font is Script MT Bold.

The third layout I created is called Funny Bunny. It features Hannah with tights on her head. They were either bunny ears or hair but she looked so cute. The template is from Andrea Gold and the font is akaFrivolity.

I used the kit to create layouts of some of the block buildings my kids created in 2006.

The first layout Caleb Tower features the tower Caleb built including a ground floor parking garage. The font is Lucida Bright and Jokerman. I also used an Andrea Gold Template.

The second layout Mathreville features a whole block city that all three of the youngest contributed too. The font is Informal Roman and no template was used.

Every week I look at the DigiDare blog and each week I say that looks cool and I'm going to try and then in the end I don't seem to get it done. Well this week just before it was too late I actually took the time to complete the challenge. You can find out more about them at We Dare You.

This weeks was to scrap about your favorite teacher. I chose my third grade teacher Mrs. Joan Hammil. The kit I used was Aussie Caz's Back to School. I completed 2 layouts with this great kit. The first layout was also submitted for the DigiScrap Station Newsletter's Now and Then Challenge. The assignment was to scrap two similar photos at least 10 years apart. I scrapped about my first fish in 1964 and my daughters in 2007. The fonts used are Berlins Sans FB Demi and Viner Hand ITC.

Find Your Wings Memory Presentation for Jacob

I created these layouts for a memory book for my son before he left for Africa for three years. The words are from the Mark Harris song "Find Your Wings". I got permission to use the words in the memory book. But it was much more dramatic to see the layouts timed to the song itself and that is what we did for Jacob when he shared about his upcoming assignment at church. We had friends and family that were unable to make it to church that Sunday so I've posted the presentation here for others to see. The last page of the book gives credit to the DigiKits used in the creation of this presentation. An ad for the song will pop up during the video so if you like it you can pick it up for yourself.

Well I've now done 365 through June. So I only need to do July and August to be all caught up. I found lots of great 365 kit options over at Divine Digital's included some kits specifically designed for certain months. With the May layouts I started looking for different options of digikits. I started May by using a new kit a found at DigiScrap Station. It is by Heavenly Scraps and is called It's A Date. You can purchase it here. Look for a preview at the bottom of this post.

For the next one I used a kit that was not really designed as a 365 kit but it just worked perfect for the photos I had to work with. I used Momma Trish 's My Little Black Cloud available HERE at My Scrap Station.

I really haven't fallen off the face of the earth and if you check out my scrapping goal you can see I have been busy created. I've just done a lousy job of posting about it.

I just finished working on Imagine That. This kit has lots of fun colors and cute elements. It is perfect for a variety of themes including kids and outdoors. You can pick up GF Designz's Imagine That HERE at DigiScrap Station.

I create two fun layouts with this kit. The first one I did for the DigiScrap Station Newsletter Challenge doing a layout about summer. It features my daughter in the Summer of 2006. The font is HallenSchweilier.

The second layout features some of the birds we have seen out in our front yard. The Font is HighTower Text and the sketch idea came from Cherish p53.

The great team of Stacey Crossley and Teri Mayo have done it again with another great kit in their Child series. This one has bold colors and lots of reds and blacks. You need to pick this great kit up fast as Stacey is taking a leave of absence from scrapping for a while.

My first layout is House of Cards and features some card houses the boys made one afternoon. The font is Elephant.

The second layout is Shogun Birthday. Since Hayden loves all things Japanese we decided to treat him to a special birthday dinner. It was a lot of fun. The template comes from the Daily Digi and the font is Rockwell.

Here's another kit in the great Inspiration Series. This kit has some great pinks along with yellows, greens, and great dark blue. Joy also has wonderful scripture word art as well.

I used this kit to create my layout for the Macro Challenge at My Scrap Shop. You can check it out along with other challenges HERE. The challenge was to do a Macro picture of something that starts with E. I was originally going to use ear but I ended up using Earring instead. I used the font Colonna MT to complete the layout.

The second layout features my daughter in her bed with her new princess netting. I used the font Curlz MT.

EAL - Faith

This kit is one in a great series called Inspiration. Faith is full of greens, yellows, and blues. The elements are great. I love the scripture word art as well.

The first layout I created with this kit is Look Down. I created this one to for the Through the Lens Challenge at My Scrap Shot. Its interesting to see what your photos look like taking from above. You can check out this challenges as well as other HERE at My Scrap Shop. The font is Forte.

The second layout is Give Back. Its contains some photos from my son's trip to Missiouri after the 2005 hurricanes to help with the clean up with others from the Lake Wales area. I used a template from Sweet Tomato. The fonts are TW Cen MT Cond. Bold and Century.

Digital Gator - Love American Style

Happy 4th of July. This is a great kit for all those holiday photos. It is full of great red, white, and blue paper and elements.

I used this kit to create a layout for the Theme Challenge at My Scrap Shop. The challenge is to show your nation's colors. You can find out more about this challenges and others HERE at My Scrap Shop. The font is Playbill.

The second layout features my son and daughter dressed up and learning about history at Colonial Williamsburg. The font is Yin Design. The fonts are Sylfaen and Showcard Gothic.

This is a great kit with lots of bright funky party time colors. This is great for a girl's birthday no matter what her age as well and lots of other great layouts.

The first layout I created with this great kit is a August Desktop for the Desktop Challenge over at My Scrap Shop. The second layout features a card that my son made for me when he was 8. I thought the bright colors of this kit went really well to show it off. The font is Agency FB.

This is a wonderful kit. It is a wonderful collaboration that has lots of wonderful variety. It has lots of versatility. I actually created 12 layouts with this kit and all can be viewed HERE at the DigiScrap Station gallery.

I am featuring two of the pages here. Both of these are from an album I'm working on for Jacob. Hannah helped me choose which two to feature here. I wonder if her being the baby Jacob is holding in the one layout had anything to do with her selection. I used Matura MT Script for all the layouts. The second layout uses an Andrea Gold Template. The pages are based on the words from the Mark Harris song "Find Your Wings".

I created two different layouts with this kit the first one is Summer Job feature my son's summer job with under privileged children. The font is Broadway.

The second layout is Water Balloon. My son found some balloons and worked to see how big he could fill them. The template is from Just Two More Things and the font is Berlin Sans FB.

This is a great kit. It has some very neat birthday elements but what's really fun about this kit is that it includes some great non-traditional birthday colors so that it makes it great for lots of other types of layouts or for some variety in your birthday layouts, too.

I created two layouts with this kit. Both are from a day we spent with friends right after Hannah's birthday so we told her we were celebrating an extended birthday. The first layout is everyone having fun at the bowling alley. It uses an Andrea Gold template and the font Scrip MT Bold.

The second layout features our afternoon at the park. After bowling we had some lunch and decided that we weren't ready to say goodbye so we headed for a local park. This also uses an Andrea Gold template and the font Informal Roman.

Throwing Some Scraps Around - Zephyr

The colors in this kit are so warm and rich. It has some great elements that are both fun and funky. It also has some neat floral and plant elements as well.

I created two layouts with this kit. The first one features our family at the Lighthouse where they had a chance to work on some lighthouse inspired poetry. I used an Andrea Gold template and the font Forte.

The second layout features the pet turtle my son had for a while. I was never able to get a great shot of it but it was important for my son to have this memory. The font is Brankovic.

I love the rich earth tones in this kit. It would be great for fall photos of course but it is also great for nature layouts. And the colors and tones also make it versatile for lots of other layouts as well.

I completed two layouts with this great kit. The first one is Macro D and was completed for this months Marco Challenge at My Scrap Shop. Check out all the June challenges HERE. The letter this month is D so I used my son's new DSi. I was going to use my DS Lite but the light pink color just didn't seem to want to photograph well especially in Macro mode so I went with plan B and used my son's. The font is Script MT Bold.

The second layout is Majesty and features some shots from Peace River Park at local nature park. As you can see the rich colors of this kit make it perfect for this nature layout. I used an Andrea Gold template and the font Tekton Pro to complete his layout.

This is such a great kit. I loved all the great kitchen and cooking elements. The colors are rich and warm. This kit would be great for catching those great cooking moments or for recipes.

I created 2 layouts with this kit. The first one features my two youngest helping their dad bake bread. They have so much fun when they get to make their own little loafs. I used a layout from the Cherish book p 84. Font - Berlin Sans FB Demi.

I completed two layouts with Grateful Days. Layout #1 features photos from National Scrapbook Day in 2005. I used and Andrea Gold template and the font is Vivaldi.

The 2nd layout is about the Hurricane Project my son's class produced to record the oral history of the 2004 hurricane season. I typed up all the transcripts for the project. This was a difficult project and even though I only have a copy of the newspaper article so much time went into that I wanted to document it. The font is Trojan Pro.

Ladybug Pages - Whimsical Wonderland for Boys and Girls

Both of these kits have wonderful fun elements for all kinds of great boy and girl layouts. And when you combine them it makes an even better deal and is even more fun to work with.

I created a desktop with this kit for the month of July. I used the Wonderland for Boys portion to celebrate my two July guys on my desktop. This desktop is my entry in the My Scrap Shop Desktop Challenge at My Scrap Shop. To find out more about this challenge and others happening in the month of June over at MSS click HERE. The font I used was Snap ITC.

The second layout is actually a double page layout featuring photos of my son's birthday in 2005. Since his sister seemed to enjoy the party almost as much as he did or at least the cake I had a few cute pictures of her as well. I used one of Yin Design's Double templates. I flipped and rotated it fit my needs and also moved one of the picture and mat groups over to the other side so I had 3 for my daughter's photos. Then I used Whimsical Wonderland for Boys on the left side with pictures of the candles and of my son.
On the right side I used Whimsical Wonderland for Girls to highlight my daughter and her enjoyment of the cake. I think the blending of the two will make a great two page layout.

I created two pages with this great kit. The first one is Summer Time and explains why June says summer to me and what I think about with the beginning of summer. Its my entry in the My Scrap Shop Theme Challenge which was tell what June means to you. Since June in Florida is when things really start heating up the Too Hot kit seemed a perfect choice. Spring Love is a great kit with lots of great soft pastel colors. The elements make it great for garden layouts or any other thing that might be of interest.

My first layout is my entry for the My Scrap Shop Through the Lens Challenge. You can find out about all the challenges for June HERE. It features photos taken from the perspective of looking up like a crawling baby. The font I used was ABCkids.

The second layout features photos taken as we crossed the Skyway bridge a few years ago. The photos are the best as they were taken out of the window of a moving car but they weren't too bad and certainly enough to show off the grandeur of this bridge. The template is from Just 2 More Things and the font is TW Cent MT.

Designer Duo's - Thursday's Child

Stacey Crossley and Teri's Thing-O-My-Jig have teamed up again for another great kit in the Child series. Thursday's child has far to go so this kit has some great travel elements. The paper colors are wonderful. This is another great kit that was a lot of fun to work with.

I used the kit to create a great two page spread with some of the photo highlights from Hayden's summer of photojournalism. I loved the paper that looked liked scatter newspaper that reminded me so much of some of the scattered paper we had seen on the scene that I used it as a mat under all the pictures on the right side. I also used paper from the kit to do all the individual photo matting. I used another one of Yin Design's great templates. The font is one of Creative Chaos's new ones School Hand Bold.

This is a great kit with lots of bold primary colors. It would work for a variety of layouts. It also includes great floral elements as well and some really cute frames. I was amazed at how different my two layouts looked by just combining different papers and elements.

The first layout is Hannah Learns to Scrap. Its seems so funny to see me teaching her how to crop pictures for paper scrapping. That seems so old school now. I submitted this layout in the MSS Scraplift Challenge. I used the kit and the font Ravie on this layout.

The second layout is Mission Trip 2005. These are some highlights from Jacob's 2nd short term mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Who knew where those short term trips would lead. I used an Andrea Gold template replacing the elements in the template with elements from the kit. The font is DTB Journal Bits.

I completed two seperate layouts with this great kit. The first is I Have An Excuse. I happened to snap a picture on my way home to show off why I was late. So I decided to scrap it. I used an Andrea Gold template and Creative Chaos' new font Tallboy Italic.

The second is A Little Night Magic. I loved the bright colors with these night time pictures out in our garden on a summer night. I used another Andrea Gold template and the font is Trebuchet MS.

There are kinds of fun games and challenges over at DigiScrap Station.

One of the most challenging for me so far was to create your own blinkie. I googled and found some basic directions and created the very simple one you see over on the left size. Its celebrating be the mom of a son soon heading out for the mission field. I used Psi Psi -Africa kit for the paper and little art work. You can find it HERE.

I created a blog entry see below.

One fun challenge was to create a layout about where you live. I created this Florida layout showing off how Florida can be full of contrasts. I used Shades of Gina's - Beach Fun Kit available HERE. I created the title with Just Two More Things text path. The font is Times New Roman.

I reviewed kits that I've used or have on my wish list.

I participated in the color challenge where you had to create a layout with certain colors. I created a layout of a field trip to Pizza Hut. I used DigiTreats Jump, a Lindsey Jane template, and the font Popular Std.

There's a contest to guess how many papers in a stack.

I've completed the Multiple Pieces layout. You had to have 35 pieces plus photos. I got buy with making a border with the buttons found in Belenna's Celtric Crafts. Travel HERE to pick up the kit. The layout features a puzzle my son put together and I thought this kit fit it well. I used the font Old English.

I completed the technique challenge which was to create a layout using extraction. I created this fun layout with two random pictures of Hannah. I really like how it turned out. I used Throwing Some Scraps Around's This One Day that you can buy HERE.

Another interesting challenge was the Journal It Challenge. At least half the page must be journaling. I created this layout in memory of my son's great uncle and Godfather who passed away in 2005. I used GF Designz's Photos of Yesteryear a great kit for hertiage photos. You can pick it up HERE.

One really fun challenge is to the on going story where already we've created one crazy tale. Add your twist to the story.

One easy game is to share about your favorite birthday memory of either yourself or others.

You can vote in a poll about digital scrap booking and weigh in with your opinion.

Jacob is heading for Africa

My son has found out that he has been accepted as a missionary with Mennonite Central Committee. He will be spending three years in Juba, Southern Sudan running the business office there. He will be leaving at the end of July. I created this layout to celebrate.

I used an old kit I had GHU African Beat and the font Brankovic. I did this for a national scrapbook day journaling challenge.

I got a chance to work with a designer I had not worked with before at DigiScrap Station. This kit has great primary colors and is full of wonderful elements that are wonderful for playtime with kid of all ages.

I complete two double page layouts with this kit. The first one is Flywheelers and features a day that dad took the younger boys to see the old cars, tractors, and other engines. I used a Yin Design template and the font is Eras Demi ITC. I entered this two page layout in the two page challenge at DigiScrap Station for NSD.

The second two page layout features our time meeting some online friends in real life. I used a Yin template and the font Georgia Ref. The right side page includes a photo clipped to DigiTreats Word Photo mat. This page was entered in the Photo Mat challenge at DSS for NSD.

The first is Bright Eyes and features Hannah. I rarely do single photo layouts so this one is a bit different for me. I love that with digital its easy to find a way to scrap those random photos that don't really fit anywhere else. The template is from Andrea Gold and the font is Aubrey.

The second layout is Master Builders. After studying about lighthouses the boys created their own. The template is another Andrea Gold and the font is Rockwell Condensed.

I just finished working with this great kit. The mix of pastel and bright colors give you lots of versatility. The flowers and insect elements make it perfect for those spring or garden layouts but you are not limited to those themes.

I created two layouts. The first layout is a very typical of what you can do with this kit. It features some spring blooms in our garden out front. I used an Andrea Gold template and the font Viner Hand.

The second layout shows how versatile this kit can be. It shows my son and his friend find a great way to stay busy. I used a Mandagirl template and the font Playbill.

Day's Digi Design - Spring is in the Air

This is a really cute kit with lots of fun spring colors and lots of great spring elements. It has a great mix of buttons, flowers, and word art.

I created not one but 2 double page layouts on our trip to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Museum.

The first layout features some of the great exhibits to be found at the park. Our favorite was the new exhibit on Fresnel Lens. It was wonderful to walk in and see all these great lens. I used an Yin Template and the font Centaur.

The second layout features actually going up into the lighthouse itself. We all tried but only Dan and Caleb actually made it to the top. I used another Yin Template and the font Bauhaus.

Digital Gator - My World

This was a great kit to work with. I loved the bright colors and the fun papers. It has lots of great elements like clouds, sun, and kites that would make it great for outdoor fun or travel.

I completed a two page layout of our trip to St. Petersburg for testing. We had extra special fun this year because we got to spend a few hours at Freedom Lake Park. Caleb especially enjoyed the Korean War display since his granddaddy served in Korea and they share the same middle name.

I used one of Yin Desgin's great double page templates which I love. And now that I have a action to cut them with I love them even more because they are so easy to use. The fonts are Arial and Popular Std.

GF Designz - Pass the Popcorn

Pass the Popcorn is a great kit it has lots of fun movie element that would be good for a night out at the movies or for staying home for family movie night. I loved all the fun movie elements.

I created 2 layouts. The first layout features my daughter on a vacation with extended family. One of the days it was really rainy and everyone had to find indoor things to keep busy. My SIL caught this great shots of my daughter watching a DVD. She was watching so intently. The font is Harlow Solid Italic.

The second layout features the story of the great movie deals my son got while at college. I loved all the wonderful elements that made this ordinary story look really cute. I used the font Kartika.

Designer Duos - Tuesday's Child

Stacey Crossley and Teri Mayo have teamed up again for a great kit in their Child Series. This kit is Tuesday's Child. The colors from this kit are rich and wonderful. The elements are great for remembering our families and for counting our blessings.

I created a double page layout of a special time we spent with our friends just before they got ready to begin building their home. I used one of Yin Design's great double templates and the font is Nueva Std.

RNR - Teddy N Me

Well I've started work for another store started by GF Designz's Jen. I've worked with her for a quite a while and its lots of fun to join her here at the store. What for link on side bar Sweet N Spicy Scraps.

My first kit for Sweet and Spicy is RNR Creation's Teddy N Me. It is a great kit that would be perfect for any layout featuring a little girl's tea party but I found the kit to be very verisatile and created a double page layout of my daughter enjoying the rain and one of my son's giant cookie. I love all the cute elements but my favorites were the monkey and the window.

My first layout is Hannah in the garden. I used one of Yin's Double Templates and the font is ABC Kids.

The second layout is Caleb's Cookie. He was so proud of this cookie that he made all by himself. I used an Andrea Gold template and the font Microsoft Sans Serif.

Entry without Pictures (or Ideas of how to get through my picture backlog.)

I've been making great progress on my goals. I took the month of February off and enjoyed working on the Love Album which was a lot of fun and was really a stretching and growing experience. So for March I decided to really focus again on my chronological back load of pictures. I like being able to pick great pictures that go with the kit I need to work on with my CT work but I also wanted to make sure I don't scrap the same pictures twice or leave an event out. So I came up with a great solution. The next album I needed to work on was the Family 2005 album. So first I checked my layout files and made a list of any 2005 events I had already scrapped. Then I went through my 2005 picture folder and made a list of each of the events that needed to be scrapped and the date. Now when I open up a new kit I've downloaded I can match it against my list of layouts needed for 2005. So I can feed my need for order and still be creative and work "out of order". I'm doing other current layouts here and there as well and when I get ready to work on that album straight through I can just mark off the events already completed. So if you are a bit OCD about wanting to create chronological albums but still want to be a bit creative this might be the solution for you.

Second decision regarding the 365 day project. I love it and really want to use all of DigiTreats great kits this year. So I decided that I wanted to take full advantage of all the great stuff that comes out during the month. I've had a couple of times where after I've finished the layout for the week the perfect element comes out. So my decision is that from now on I will wait until the end of the month and then scrap that month's worth of photos. I've also thought about doing a month in review layout as well and this would make the process really quick and easy. So watch next week for the final layouts for March. Then the beginning of May watch for a month's worth of April and so on.

CT MegaDoodle Inspired - Alternative Hearts Template

I had a chance to test out this great template from Mega-Doodle. It has lots of different layers and you can include them all or remove some of them to suit your taste. I was a bit unsure when I first look at the template but I when I actually used it I was really happy with the results.

My layout features a rare treat of going out to eat and getting dessert. The kit was last month's Gold Member download from DigiShop Talk. Amy Huthinson's Bombay. The font I used was Vrinda.

Taking Time to Remember

I had a close moment during a worship service the other day. And for once I decided to take the time to record that memory. So many times we have moments that strike us as meaningful and we think we will never forget the feeling of that moment but we get busy and those memories fade. Because I think that remember is important I wanted to take the time this once to do just that.

CT Lisa Minor - Dinosaur

I loved this newer kit from Lisa Minor and I wasn't sure how I would use it then and found the perfect pictures. This kit features great warm colors and some of the cutest dinosaurs I've ever seen.

I used it to make this fun little layout of Hannah when she found the boys left over Halloween face paint and decided to fix herself up. I used an Andrea Gold template and the font is Stencil.

CT for Lisa Minor Silly Summer Fun

Lisa has a brand new kit at her store at Scrapdebris. It features some great bright colors and wonderful insect elements.

It was just perfect for this two page layout of our trip to Barnett Park in 2005. I used a Yin Template and all the photo matting I used comes from papers in the Silly Summer fun kit. The font is Tahoma.

CT GF Designz - Grandma's Attick Treasure

This was a fun little kit to work with. It had lots of elements that you would expect to see up in an old attic. It would work great with vintage photos or visits to historical sights.

I used this kit to create a layout of Jacob's class trip for his Florida History class at college. I loved the fence element. I used an Andrea Gold template and the font Georgia.

This is a great kit with lots of great colors for those guy layout. It has lots of great elements as well. I think the tabbed journal boxes are some of my favorites.

I used this kit to make two great layouts. The first one is Hayden's Fun. It features some of the stuff he collected during the year when spending time with his friend. I made the layout look something like the scattering of stuff on a guy's desk. I used the font Magneto.

The second layout is All Gone Now!. It features the the last sign of the tree loss during the hurricanes the summer before. I used a Andrea Gold template and the font Elephant.

Stacey Crossley has teamed up again for another great kit. This time with Scrappy Shannon. This kit has lots of fun elements and would be great for any coffee addict. But I found it also worked really well for a trip to part to see statues. I loved all the fun elements that were included with this kit and the alpha was great.

I created a great layout of our visit to the Park Art. I used a template by Yin. The font is Hightower Text and Haetten Schueilier.

Stacey Crossley - Summertime

This is a great kit. It is full of bright colors and wonderful word art. I created two layouts with this kit and even I was surprised when I finished at how different they looked. So you can see this kit is very versatile. One is very bright and bold and the other is softer and more muted.

Layout one is Bowling. It is a bowling trip I took the boys on. The template is from Andrea Gold, the Font is Modern No 20. I used one of the text path is from Liz Design.

The second layout is Caleb and Nick. It is a fun layout of Caleb spending time at a friend's house. It uses a Mandagirl template and the font Berlin Sans FP.

This 2 page layout features our family fun time and uses a template by Yin. The font is Gil Sans Ultra Pro and Gigi. I loved the elements and colors of this kit. It was just perfect for a spring or Easter layout.

I also did a one page layout using the Tye Dyed kit. The colors are so bold they just leap out at you. They were a great compliment to these art class pictures. The font is Matura MT Script.

Sue Wood - All Princess

Well I used another kit by Sue Wood today. This one is All Princess and was just perfect for a layout I did for Hannah's Birthday in 2005. Hannah was looking over my shoulder and she like the kit so much she helped me create a layout of her new outfit using the same kit.

The 2 page birthday layout uses a Yin Template and the font Ravie. I just love the way Hannah's eyes shine in these pictures.

The page with Hannah's outfit features Hannah's favorite elements from the kit. The double frame was perfect to show case the pictures. Since the 2nd picture wasn't big enough to fill up the page we used one of the papers as a back drop.

Ct Sue Wood Design - April Daze

This was a fun kit to work with. The colors are really bright and the elements really help you see that April showers bring May flowers. There is a great frame selection as well.

I did a two page layout for my son's birthday. I used one of the papers to clip for the titling and I cropped another piece and applied a bevel to make the journaling box. I used the great frames so that no template was necessary. The font is Nueva Std. & Showcard Gothic.

Creating for Lisa Minor

I was busy the other day and used several of Lisa Minor's kits. You can find all of Lisa's kits HERE. Remember if you want more than one to send her an e-mail for an invoice.

First is a two page layout from Christmas 2004 at our house. I used the Merry and Bright kit. I loved these bright colors which are close to traditional colors but just a bit different so they are a lot of fun. I used a Yin Template and the font is Re-gifter

Next was a one page layout from 2004. It features one sick little Hannah. It was so cute because she had tucked herself in with her dolls. I used Neverland Girl one of the "Disney" kits. I used a template from Andrea Gold. The fonts are Pristina and Rave.

Last is a two page layout featuring a trip to Bok Tower Gardens at the end of 2004. It was our first post hurricane visit and it was shocking to see the difference in the way the park looked. I used Lisa's Timeless kit. The colors on this kit are just so classic. They are good for vintage, nature, or general layouts. I used a Yin Template. The font is Rockwell and Rockwell Extra Bold. What makes this two page layout even better is that it represents the last of 2004's pictures. Now on to 2005.

MOH Retreat features my trip to Katy, Texas to meet with the publisher and the author of Mystery of History curriculum. In addition to the great workshops there was also time to scrap as well. Jacob bought my airline ticket and I finished up the album I was doing for him from his high school years. The tiemplate is Andrea Gold. The font is Times New Roman.
